We hope that you will be able to join us on the historic occasion of the 2006 Congress, which will honor, commemorate, and examine the legacy of the first Congress of Black Writers and Artists which took place in 1956.

An eminent group of intellectuals, writers, and artists will be assembling in Paris for this extraordinary Anniversary. A number of 1956 delegates will be attending our 2006 Congress and will be honored with the Du Bois Medal during the proceedings.
